This week is the beginning of Matariki, the Maori new year festival. Matariki (the Pleiades) is the Maori name for the cluster of stars. When it rises in the north-eastern skies in late May or early June, it signals to Maori that the new year will begin.
What interesting learning. Sounds fabulous. I'd love to try it. By the way, I really like how you displayed your photos.
